Anastasia Beverly Hills #Subculture Palette Review

These shadows are extremely pigmented no doubt about it. The mattes are super soft and the shimmers are super foiled. The scandal… Is that what you’re here for? Well here’s my opinion, any matte shade will have fall-out. It doesn’t matter the brand or the color, they all have fall-out. I believe that this palette is unique because the colors are literally pressed matte pigments. You only need very little to get color payoff. I must admit that I did see other reviews most notably AlissaAshley on YouTube where there was significant fall-out and blotchy application. I think this probably rings true to many if you are using this palette with a heavy hand. Based on AlissaAshley review I knew that I wanted to use a light hand and my application technique would be different. I love this palette. I hate having to use a heavy hand or constantly trying to apply a color to get color pay-off with other palettes on the market. With this palette I can go in with very little product and build up the intensity to my preference.

THE VERDICT:

The ABH #Subculture palette is cool… Do I think it’s a must have in your collection, probably not. Especially for the beginner consumer or those who feel like every shadow should be the same. These are highly pigmented and little goes a long way. I purchase this palette with my own coint and I must say that I am impressed with it, and do not regret my purchase by any means. If you don’t see yourself using the colors in this palette then pass it up, however if you’re like me and want to step out of your comfort zone then pick this palette up.
